You can’t control the outcome, but you can control what you focus on.

So often we try to control or stifle or dampen an outcome, feeling, body response or action that we do not like or want. It’s like trying to lead a horse by the tail.

If the outcome has already happened, it’s in the past. If you anticipating or dreading a possible outcome, it’s in the future.

Neither the past or future has a handle on them that you can grasp. You cannot control the outcome.

But you can control your awareness.

Attention is the seed of thoughts; the sunshine to your emotions; the director of your body functions; the table of contents to your actions; and the great grand mother to your outcomes.

Attend to your attention. Nurture what you attune to. Chose what you focus on.
